The challenge
Approximately 870 million people in Africa experience moderate food insecurity. Climate change, conflict, natural disasters and economic inequality have made supply unstable.
Food aid answers today. Food security answers next year. We fund land acquisition, seeds, equipment, crop spraying and harvesting so that families and communities produce their own yields.
The aim is resilience: households that can absorb a bad season without falling into hunger.
